Robert Clark, The Guardian Guide
‘This is where we meet’ presents work characterised by a disquieting and subversive use of materials. Influenced by architecture and urban spaces. Le Ruez works in sculpture, installation, painting, drawing, video and photography. His eclectic mix of materials and media explores the themes of longing, concealment, release and a search for a place of refuge, underlined by a dark humour and a deep emotional charge. Le Ruez’s work reveals something at once familiar and strangely unnerving.
Also on show are Adam Burns’ exhibition ‘Absolute Colour Space’ and Ellie Harrison’s exhibition ‘Market Forces’. All exhibitions continue until Saturday 17 December.
